Transform one-time buyers into repeat customers and brand advocates
Rewarding repeat behavior is more cost-effective than acquiring new customers.
Points and tiers keep customers engaged, whilst incentivizing larger orders and repeat purchases.
Let customers feel engaged with your brand. Build a lasting community that stays loyal.
Purchases first, then whatever else you want to reward: creating an account, birthdays and account anniversaries, leaving a review, following or sharing on social, submitting a receipt from an in-store purchase, adding to a wishlist, and hitting subscription milestones. Punch cards, photo challenges and custom actions triggered through the API or Shopify Flow are available on higher plans.
A fixed amount off, a percentage off, free shipping, or a free product, which can also be issued as store credit. A fixed amount reward can be flexible, letting customers slide points against a value range rather than redeeming in fixed blocks. Rewards apply at Shopify checkout, so there is no code for the customer to copy.
Only if you switch expiry on. It is off by default. You can expire points a set number of days after they are earned, or reset the clock on every purchase so only lapsed customers lose a balance. Points earned before you enable expiry are never taken away, and customers get a reminder email before anything drops off.
Yes. Mage runs inside the Shopify POS app, so staff can look up a customer, see their balance and apply a reward from the checkout screen. For sales that do not go through your own till, such as a stockist or a pop-up, customers can submit a receipt to claim the points instead.
In their account on your storefront, alongside orders, returns and saved products, with VIP tier progress shown as they go. Balances also sync to your email and SMS platform, so you can trigger a reminder when someone is close to a reward or about to move up a tier.
Mage has built-in importers for Smile.io and Yotpo that bring over point balances, VIP tiers, birthdays and point history. From anything else, upload a CSV. Set your tiers up before importing so customers land in the right one, and expect a large list to take a while: Yotpo imports run at roughly eight customers a second.
