Welcome

This is the member's introduction to your loyalty program. It shows them the value they already have, the different ways they can earn, and the rewards they can work towards, all in one clear journey.

Start with an immediate benefit. Lead with the welcome points already in the member's account. Receiving value straight away confirms that joining was worthwhile and creates a reason to consider a first or repeat purchase.
Show more than one way to earn. Include actions such as placing an order, leaving a review, adding a birthday, or following your brand. Easy first actions build engagement and help members make progress before they buy again.
Turn tiers and rewards into goals. Show the main benefit of each tier and use real products with real points prices. Members can quickly see what is available now and what becomes possible if they keep shopping.
Before you send itKeep the layout matched to your real program. Remove any earning method, tier, or reward you do not offer. A shorter, accurate email is more convincing than a fuller template with empty or irrelevant sections.

Points Awarded

This email turns a completed purchase into a reason to make the next one. It confirms the points earned, shows their real value, and makes the next reward feel achievable.

Make the points impossible to miss. Lead with the amount earned in the largest type. This is the information the member opened the email to see, so placing it first makes the message clear at a glance.
Show what the points are worth. A points total can feel abstract. Converting it into store credit or purchase value helps the member understand what they have gained and gives them a stronger reason to use it.
Make the next reward feel close. Show the member's new balance, the next reward, and how many points remain. A simple progress bar turns an account update into a clear goal, and a reason to shop again.
Before you send itMatch the timing to your points approval window. If points become available 30 days after purchase, send this email when they clear. If you also send a pending-points email at checkout, keeping the two moments separate avoids repetition.

VIP Tier Upgrade

Reaching a new tier is a moment worth celebrating. This email recognizes the member's loyalty, makes the new benefits easy to understand, and gives them a fresh reason to keep buying.

Make the achievement feel important. Give the new tier name the most visual weight. A clear, celebratory announcement makes the upgrade feel like a reward rather than an account notification.
Focus on what is new. List the benefits the member has just unlocked, not the entire program. This makes the value of moving up immediately clear and gives them practical reasons to use the new tier.
Show the next goal. Add progress towards the next tier while motivation is high. A visible target encourages the member to continue shopping without taking attention away from the tier they have just earned.
Before you send itMake the rules for tier progress clear, especially for discounted orders, returns, and the period used to calculate spend. Members should be able to understand how they reached a tier and what they need to do to keep it.
