lululemon Membership is lululemon's free loyalty program for customers in the US and Canada, and it has no points. Members unlock benefits instead: Collective, the free level, includes free hemming, early access to product drops, receipt-free returns and partner perks. Spending $500 in a calendar year unlocks Collective Plus, which adds exclusive access to products and a personal shopper, and spending $1,000 unlocks Collective Pinnacle, which adds first access to restocks and, in the US, complimentary customization. A level lasts for the rest of the year you earn it and all of the next one.
Last checked against lululemon's US membership page and its membership FAQs as of 17 October 2026 (the benefits grid as of 24 October 2026), and the Membership Terms in its US Terms of Use as of 17 October 2026.

How to join lululemon Membership
Joining is free and takes a lululemon account, which needs a name and an email address. You can sign up on lululemon.com, in the lululemon app or in a store, and agree to the Membership Terms. If you already have a lululemon account, sign in at lululemon.com or in the app, and you may be asked to agree to the terms.
You need to be a current resident of the 50 US states, the District of Columbia or Canada, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live). Each person can have one account, for personal use.
One detail matters for your spend: your membership account has to be used when you buy for the purchase to count, which means giving your details in store or being signed in online. The page's advice is to "sign up before your next order to start leveling up right away."
The lululemon Membership levels
| Level | Spend in a calendar year | Benefits |
|---|---|---|
| Collective | Free | 7 benefits |
| Collective Plus | $500 | Everything in Collective, plus 2 more |
| Collective Pinnacle | $1,000 | Everything above, plus 2 more |
Spend is counted from 1 January to 31 December. When you reach a level's minimum, you move up straight away, for the rest of the year and all of the next.
What counts toward your spend
Yearly spend is what you spend on lululemon merchandise in a store in the US, the District of Columbia or Canada, or online and shipped there. US purchases count in US dollars and Canadian purchases in Canadian dollars, with no exchange rate applied.
These don't count: gift cards, purchases at third-party retailers, purchases from lululemon Like New, items bought for complimentary customization, any discounts, sales tax, shipping and delivery charges, order fees, unfilled backorders and subscription or membership fees. Returns reduce your total. A purchase is only counted after lululemon has verified it, and the terms say that may not happen until after the return period.

What the main benefits are, and what the terms say about each:
- Free hemming: alterations on us, at your local store. It covers shortening lengths and zipper repair on lululemon items without special features, including things you bought before joining, and some locations also offer minor repairs. Hemmed items can't be returned, and items not picked up within six months are disposed of.
- Early access to product drops: the chance to view and buy select items before non-members. It's initially limited to people who use the lululemon app.
- Exchange or credit on sale items: you can return sale items in store for a gift card for the balance of what you paid. Sale items include discounted, Markdown and We Made Too Much items. Items from outlets, online warehouse sales and special promotions don't qualify, and neither do items bought before you joined.
- Receipt-free returns: you can return items without a receipt if the purchase was linked to your account when you bought it. In-store purchases can only be returned receipt-free in store, while online and app purchases can be returned online or in store. Items bought before you joined don't qualify.
- Select Peloton classes: pre-recorded Peloton classes in the lululemon app.
- Member-only experiences: events you can register for, run by lululemon or by third parties, each with its own terms.
- Partner perks: offers and experiences from other brands, subject to availability and location, including Oura, ILIA Beauty, Peloton and AG1, with Erewhon and La La Land also on the page.
- Personal shopper: a Plus benefit, with the details in a separate Personal Shopper FAQ.
How long a lululemon Membership level lasts
Your level is based on your yearly spend, 1 January to 31 December. The terms say your level is generally based on the higher of your spend this calendar year and your spend last calendar year. In practice, if you reach a new level, you keep it for the rest of that year and all of the following year. lululemon's example: qualify for Plus in 2025 and you stay Plus until the end of 2026. After that your level is re-evaluated on your 2026 spend, and if you haven't met the Plus minimum your level adjusts on 1 January 2027.
Because the level runs to the end of the following year, the date you qualify changes how long you keep it:
| You reach a level in | You keep it until | Roughly |
|---|---|---|
| January 2026 | 31 December 2027 | 24 months |
| July 2026 | 31 December 2027 | 18 months |
| December 2026 | 31 December 2027 | 13 months |
Qualifying early in the year gets almost twice as long as qualifying late, and a slow few months doesn't cost you your level mid-year.
Does lululemon Membership have points or discounts?
No. The membership page lists no points, no balance, no rewards catalogue and no money off. Every benefit is a service (hemming, a personal shopper, easier returns), access (early drops, restocks, exclusive products, member experiences) or an offer from a partner brand.
How to leave lululemon Membership
You leave by sending a request to delete your data through lululemon's Privacy Portal, or by calling 1-877-263-9300. That deletes your lululemon account, including your membership status, order history and saved addresses, and your benefits end with it. In the lululemon app, go to Account, then Help, then Manage Data, then Privacy Portal.
The fine print
- A level is generally based on the higher of this year's and last year's spend, and only spend in a calendar year counts for that year.
- Spend only counts if your account is used when you buy, and not on gift cards, third-party sites, Like New resale, discounts, taxes, shipping or fees. It may not count until after the return period.
- Benefits only work while you're based in the 50 US states, the District of Columbia or Canada, and lululemon can change them.
- lululemon can exclude purchases and upgrade, downgrade or keep a level. It says more than 12 months of inactivity, reselling early-access items or opening several accounts can lead to a downgrade or the account being closed.
- Complimentary customization is currently US only.
- Cancelling your lululemon account ends your membership, and benefits linked to past purchases end too.
What stands out about lululemon Membership
No points at all. There's no balance to spend and no catalogue to browse. Members are rewarded with services and access, such as hemming, early access and a personal shopper, so there's no points balance for lululemon to carry.
The free level has most of the benefits. Seven of the eleven benefits are available to anyone with an account, and each level above adds two. Joining is worth something from the first day.
Status outlasts the year. A level runs to the end of the following year, so a member who qualifies isn't penalised by a quiet few months.
Partner brands do some of the work. The perks page lists offers from Oura, ILIA Beauty, Peloton, AG1 and others, which extends the benefit list with offers from other brands.
What members should know going in:
- There's nothing to redeem. If you're looking for money off, this isn't that program.
- The higher levels need real spend. $500 gets you a personal shopper and exclusive access; $1,000 gets first access to restocks.
- Your account has to be used at checkout. Guest purchases don't count, and spend may not be counted until after the return period.
- Sale returns come back as a gift card, in store only.
- Some benefits vary by country. Complimentary customization is US only.
Is lululemon Membership worth joining?
Yes. It's free, and the free level includes hemming, receipt-free returns and early access to drops, so it's worth having if you already shop at lululemon. There's nothing to lose by joining before your next order.
Whether to chase Plus or Pinnacle depends on what you want. $500 a year unlocks a personal shopper and exclusive access to products, and $1,000 adds first access to restocks. Neither gives you money off, so the benefits only matter if you'd use them.
What Shopify brands can learn from lululemon Membership
lululemon Membership is built around a product that people try on, return and wait for, and four ideas carry over to Shopify brands that sell clothing and gear:
- Reward with access and service, not discounts. Hemming, early drops and a personal shopper use things you already do. A members-only perk costs you something only when it's used.
- Put most of the benefits in the free level. Seven of the eleven benefits are at the lowest level. When joining is worth something on day one, more customers have a reason to create an account, and an account is what lets you recognise them.
- Hold status through next year. Letting a level run to the end of the following year gives a member something to rely on, and gives them a reason to keep shopping to protect it.
- Show the whole ladder in one grid. The benefits table makes the climb visible: customers can see what $500 and $1,000 unlock before they spend a dollar.
If you're building a Shopify loyalty program like this, Mage covers most of it. VIP tiers can run on amount spent over a calendar year, and perks can include early access to launches, sales and limited drops, plus custom perks such as priority support. Every member is tagged in Shopify with their tier, which you can use for segments, Shopify Flow and free shipping at checkout, and the loyalty page editor has a VIP tier benefits section so customers can see the grid.
