The Dirty Dishes Club is the free loyalty program of the cookware brand Our Place. You join by registering an account and earn 1 point for every $1 you spend, and 100 points are worth $10 off a later order of more than $50. Spending moves you through four tiers, Guest, Friend, Family and Host, which add perks rather than a faster earn rate. The catch is in the terms: points expire six months after the month they were earned.

Last checked against Our Place's Dirty Dishes Club page, its Dirty Dishes Club terms (last updated 28 January 2025) and its FAQ on 24 October 2026. Referral details come from the Referral Program terms on the same page, last updated 28 January 2025.

How to join the Dirty Dishes Club

There is no separate application. The three steps are Join, Earn and Unlock: "Sign in (it's easy). All we need is your email address!" Our Place's terms say you enrol by registering a user account, and that membership is free.

The program is for individuals only and limited to one account per person. It is open to legal residents of the 50 US states aged 18 or over, and points can only be earned and redeemed in your country of residence, so points from one country can't be used in another. The terms say the program runs online at fromourplace.com and at Our Place retail stores.

Points only land if you are logged in when you buy. Our Place doesn't issue retroactive points, for example if you forget to log in when ordering.

How you earn Dirty Dishes Club points

You earn 1 point per $1 spent when you purchase while signed in. Points are calculated on the order subtotal, after discounts and gift cards and before taxes. Here are the other ways to earn:

The Ways to Earn Points section of the Dirty Dishes Club page as of 24 October 2026.

The first purchase bonus is the largest single reward on the page, worth $10 on top of the 1 point per $1 you earn on that order. Our Place doesn't say whether the 10 points for a review photo and the 5 points for a review are added together.

Some spending doesn't earn. Per Our Place's terms, points aren't earned on gift card purchases, returns, refunds, replacement items, gifts with purchase, purchases made with store credit or a gift card, taxes, or shipping and delivery fees, and the part of an order covered by promotional discounts, including point redemptions, doesn't earn either. If you return an item, the points from that purchase are taken back. Points can take 48 hours or more to appear in your account, and the balance sits in the Dirty Dishes Club section of your account home page.

What Dirty Dishes Club points are worth

Our Place states the exchange rate: "100 points = $10". Every step of its redemption ladder uses the same rate, 10 points for each $1 of reward. Combined with 1 point per $1 spent, that works out to about 10 cents back for every $1 of eligible spend. That is our calculation from Our Place's published numbers, as of 24 October 2026.

RewardPointsEligible spend to earn it at 1 point per $1
$10100$100
$15150$150
$20200$200
$30300$300
$50 (Host only)500$500

How to redeem Dirty Dishes Club points

Our Place's steps are short: during checkout, use the dropdown in your cart to apply one of the reward amounts to a purchase over $50. You need to be signed in for the rewards to show.

How to use your points: 100 points = $10, with rewards of $10 for 100 points, $15 for 150, $20 for 200, $30 for 300 and $50 for 500 points, available to Host tier only

The terms add the rules:

  • You can apply a maximum of one reward per order, however many points you have.
  • Rewards can't be applied to gift cards.
  • The value of a reward doesn't count toward Our Place's free shipping threshold.
  • A redemption can't be combined with other offers or discounts unless Our Place authorises it in writing.
  • If you return an item bought with a reward, you are refunded the price you paid after the reward, and the points go back to your account.

Dirty Dishes Club tiers and perks

The tiers are based on what you spend. The page lists Guest as free to join, then Friend at $200 or more, Family at $400 or more and Host at $600 or more "annually". The terms say tiers are based on eligible purchases over a rolling 12 months from the anniversary of the date you reach a tier, and that Our Place can change the minimums.

Can you lose your tier?

Yes. The terms spell it out for Host: at the end of the year, a Host who hasn't spent the Host minimum moves down to Family or Friend if they met that tier's minimum, and to Guest if they didn't.

The fine print

  • Points expire. The terms say points expire within six months after the calendar month in which they were earned, and give the example that points earned on December 15 expire on June 15.
  • Cancelling or deleting your account forfeits all unused points. To cancel, email Our Place.
  • Points have no cash value and can't be transferred or sold.
  • Our Place can change or end the program, or change what a tier or reward costs, without notice.
  • Points disputes must be raised within 60 days of the date the points were posted or should have been earned.

What Our Place doesn't publish

  • What early access, special sales, special giveaways, the Cookware Committee, exclusive gifts with purchase or the Host gift involve.
  • Whether the tier thresholds are measured on a calendar year or the rolling year described in the terms: the page only says "annually".
  • Any expiry date on the Dirty Dishes Club page or in the FAQ: the six-month rule is in the terms only.
  • The size of the birthday gift at tiers other than the 100 and 200 points shown in the earn grid.
  • A points bonus for creating an account: only the first purchase and birthday bonuses are listed.

What stands out about the Dirty Dishes Club

Tiers add access, not a better rate. Many tiered programs pay more points per dollar as you climb. Here every tier earns 1 point per $1 and every reward costs the same 10 points per dollar, so the ladder is flat. What changes is the perks, and one redemption size: only Host can spend 500 points on a single $50 reward. A point has one value everywhere.

A generous rate, with a short clock. About 10 cents back per dollar is a generous headline rate. The six-month expiry is what keeps it in check, and it sits against cookware, which people tend to buy infrequently.

The first order is rewarded most. The 100 point first-purchase bonus is worth $10 and is an early reason to sign in before buying.

Referral rewards are paid in points. A referrer gets 200 points, worth $20, which sends their reward back into the points balance rather than out as a code.

What members should know going in:

  • Points expire after six months. The Dirty Dishes Club page doesn't say so; the terms do.
  • Rewards don't stack with other offers. The terms say a redemption can't be combined with other offers or discounts unless Our Place authorises it.

How the Refer a Friend offer works

Our Place's Refer a Friend offer is "Give $20, get $20". Per its Referral Program terms:

  • The friend must be new to fromourplace.com, click your referral link, create an account in the same session and place an order of $100 or more (before discounts, shipping, taxes and fees).
  • The friend gets $20 off that first order. The discount applies automatically, can be used once and is valid for 90 days.
  • You get 200 points (redeemable for $20) within seven days of the friend's order.
  • You can refer up to 50 friends. Friends living in the same household as you aren't eligible, and discounts can't be combined with other offers.

Is the Dirty Dishes Club worth joining?

Yes, for almost any Our Place shopper. It is free, there is no spend required to join, and the first order is worth 100 points on its own, plus 1 point per $1.

If you buy a few times a year, mind the clock: points expire six months after the month you earn them, and rewards need an order over $50. If you buy once and rarely return, the first-purchase bonus is the value you are most likely to use. If you spend $600 or more in a year, Host adds a larger $50 reward and the 2x birthday gift on top of the same earn rate.

What Shopify brands can learn from the Dirty Dishes Club

The Dirty Dishes Club is a flat-rate program with a few well-chosen levers. Several of them travel to any Shopify store:

  1. Keep the earn rate simple and let tiers carry the perks. One point per $1 at every tier is easy to explain and cheap to run. In Mage, VIP tiers can carry points multipliers or leave the rate flat, and they can give early access, tier-specific rewards and tier-scaled birthday rewards, so you can copy the flat-rate approach or move away from it later.
  2. Reward the first order. A 100 point bonus on a first purchase suits a considered purchase like cookware. In Mage, a signup bonus awards points once on account creation, and bonus points campaigns can add a multiplier or a flat bonus at a spend threshold.
  3. Use expiry deliberately, and warn people. A short expiry pushes a second order but frustrates infrequent buyers. Mage can expire points a set number of days after they are earned, or reset them on each purchase, and can email a reminder before points drop off through its email templates or an integration such as Klaviyo.
  4. Set a minimum order on rewards. Requiring an order over $50 protects margin on a 10% reward. In Mage, a fixed-amount reward has a minimum purchase setting, and flexible rewards let customers slide points against a value range instead of fixed blocks.
  5. Track tiers on a rolling year. A tier that follows the last 12 months keeps status tied to current spend. Mage's tier progress can run on a rolling year, and you can also protect status for twelve months after it is earned if you want a softer landing.
  6. Pay referral rewards in points. Giving the referrer points pulls them back to the store. In Mage, referral rewards can be points, store credit or a discount, and a minimum spend can be set before a referral counts.

If you're building a Shopify loyalty program with this structure, Mage covers it: points on purchases and other actions, spend-based VIP tiers, points expiry with reminder emails, a minimum purchase on rewards and double-sided referrals.

Frequently asked questions

Do Dirty Dishes Club points expire? Yes. Our Place's terms say points expire within six months after the calendar month in which they were earned, and when an account is cancelled or deleted.

How much is a Dirty Dishes Club point worth? Our Place says 100 points = $10, so one point is worth 10 cents. With 1 point earned per $1, that is about 10% of eligible spend, which is our calculation.

Can I use my points on any order? Our Place says rewards apply to purchases over $50, and the terms allow one reward per order. Rewards can't be used on gift cards.

What do I get on my birthday? The page lists 100 points for a birthday, and 200 points for Host members. The tier cards list a "birthday gift", and a "2x birthday gift" at Host.

Do I earn points if I forget to log in? No. The terms say Our Place doesn't issue retroactive points, for example if you forget to log in to your account when ordering.

Do points work outside the US? Not across borders. The terms say points can only be earned and redeemed in your country of residence. This guide covers the US program.

How to Run a Double Points Campaign That Drives Revenue in a Weekend

You'd think the best way to boost weekend sales is to slash prices. But here's what actually happens: customers train themselves to wait for discounts, your brand gets devalued, and you end up in a race to the bottom that erodes margins. The smarter move? Double points campaigns. They drive demand without touching your price tag.

The conversions were solid. But so was the margin hit. When to Expire Loyalty Points (And When You Definitely Shouldn't)
