My Lancôme Rewards is the free loyalty program of Lancôme in the US, and points are earned only on purchases made at lancome-usa.com. Members earn 10 points for every $1 spent there, get 100 bonus points for joining, and spend points in a rewards catalog of Lancôme products. The program page shows three tiers, Rose Gold, Gold and Platinum, set by points earned, and the higher tiers mostly upgrade shipping and add birthday bonus points. The terms and FAQ also describe a fourth tier, Exclusive, with thresholds that disagree. Points expire 12 months after they are earned.

Last checked against Lancôme's My Lancôme Rewards page and FAQ as of 24 October 2026 and its My Lancôme Rewards Terms and Conditions (effective 24 May 2023) as of 14 April 2026.

This guide is written by Graeme, co-founder of Mage, a loyalty and customer accounts platform for Shopify.

How to join My Lancôme Rewards

Creating a Lancôme account at lancome-usa.com enrolls you automatically. You give your full name and email address and set a password, and Lancôme confirms the enrollment with a welcome email. You don't have to join to buy, and the program is open to legal residents of the 50 US states and DC who are 18 or older. Only one program account can be linked to an email address.

Lancôme's earlier program, Elite Rewards, became My Lancôme Rewards in May 2023. Elite Rewards members didn't need to rejoin: they keep signing in with their existing account and were enrolled automatically. Lancôme says the new program adds more ways to earn, such as virtual services, charity donations and quizzes, and rewards that can't be bought elsewhere.

How you earn My Lancôme Rewards points

The three steps on the My Lancôme Rewards page: earn 10 points for every $1 spent plus 50 bonus points for joining SMS and leaving reviews, redeem points in the rewards catalog, and get shipping, a birthday gift and member offers

Way to earnPoints
Purchases on lancome-usa.com10 per $1, excluding tax and shipping
Signing up100 bonus points
Joining SMS, leaving reviews and more50 bonus points
Virtual services, charity donations and quizzesPoints awarded, amounts not published
Bonus point daysExtra points on set days, dates not published
Birthday (Gold and Platinum)100 bonus points for Gold, 200 for Platinum

On purchases alone, $100 of spending earns 1,000 points, and the 100-point sign-up bonus equals what $10 of spending earns (our arithmetic).

  • Only lancome-usa.com counts. Purchases at counters, in department stores or through other retailers and e-retailers don't earn points.
  • Timing: points appear in your account up to 48 hours after an order ships.
  • No back-dating: purchases made before you joined don't earn points.
  • What doesn't earn: gift card and e-gift card purchases, according to the terms.
  • Returns: points are deducted when you return an item you earned them on.

What My Lancôme Rewards points are worth

Lancôme doesn't publish what a point is worth. The rewards catalog is reached from the account or at checkout, so its point prices aren't public. What is public is the rate of earning: 10 points per $1. Without catalog prices, a point can't be converted into a dollar value here, and the return on a purchase can't be stated as a percentage.

How to redeem points

Points are redeemed in the rewards catalog, which members reach from My Account or at checkout. The catalog offers exclusive Lancôme items and select bestselling products. A member can add any number of rewards to the cart, as long as the points balance covers all of them.

Redeemed items are complimentary, plus the cost of shipping, whatever your tier. The terms add that reward offers can't be used toward gift cards, charitable items, promotional value sets, sales tax or shipping, can't be applied to earlier purchases, and may be limited in quantity per member in a given period.

Every member starts at Rose Gold. Each tier includes early access to launches and promotions, rewards catalog access, exclusive member offers, bonus point days and a birthday gift of 20% off an order of $100 or more.

TierPoints earnedWhat changes
Rose GoldUp to 1,999Complimentary shipping on orders of $49 or more
Gold2,000 to 6,499Complimentary shipping on all orders, plus 100 bonus birthday points
Platinum6,500 and aboveComplimentary 2-day shipping on all orders, plus 200 bonus birthday points
Exclusive10,000 (terms) or 20,000 (FAQ)Not published

The shipping perks sit against the standard offer of free shipping on orders of $100 or more, shown in the footer of the program page. On purchases alone, 2,000 points is $200 of spending and 6,500 points is $650 (our arithmetic, before bonus points). Lancôme doesn't say whether bonus points count toward a tier.

The fourth tier

The program page shows three tiers and its FAQ opens with "three tiers", yet the same FAQ explains how to reach a fourth. The FAQ says members move to Exclusive after accumulating 20,000 points, and the terms say there are "four benefit tiers: Rose Gold, Gold, Platinum and Exclusive", with Exclusive starting at 10,000 points. What Exclusive offers isn't published, and the program page doesn't show it.

How tiers are kept

The page describes the tiers by points earned each year. The FAQ and the terms describe a window that begins at enrollment and runs through the end of the following calendar year. A member who qualifies keeps the tier until the end of the following calendar year, and then has to requalify or drop back to Rose Gold.

Do My Lancôme Rewards points expire?

Yes. Points stay valid for 12 months from the date they are earned, and then expire. They can't be transferred to another member, refunded or exchanged for cash, and they have no cash value. Tier status follows a separate clock, described above.

What Lancôme doesn't publish

  • What a point is worth, what each catalog reward costs in points, or which products are in the catalog.
  • How many points most activities earn: only the 50 bonus points for joining SMS, leaving reviews and "more" are stated, and not whether that is per action.
  • What the Exclusive tier includes and which of its two thresholds applies.
  • Whether bonus points count toward a tier.
  • The dates of bonus point days, and the conditions of the birthday gift beyond the $100 minimum.
  • What the "Tier Upgrade Gift" and the "special welcome offer" named in the terms are.
  • A "last updated" date on the program page. The terms are effective 24 May 2023.

The fine print

  • Lancôme can change, limit or cancel the program, its rules and its benefits at any time by posting the change, and continued use counts as acceptance.
  • Points and rewards have no cash value, and the account balance is forfeited if the membership is terminated.
  • Points are deducted if you return the purchase that earned them.
  • Disputes go to individual arbitration, with a waiver of class actions.
  • The program tracks personal information such as purchase history and date of birth, and the terms present the benefits as the exchange for that data.

What stands out about My Lancôme Rewards

Shipping is the tier ladder. Rose Gold unlocks free shipping above $49, Gold on every order and Platinum on every order in two days. For an online shop, shipping speed and cost are perks that cost little and members feel every time they order.

Everyone gets the same birthday offer, with bonus points for higher tiers. The 20% off $100 gift is the same at every tier, so the tier difference is 100 or 200 bonus points, which is worth $10 or $20 of spending in points earned (our arithmetic).

The rate makes the numbers feel small. At 10 points per $1, Gold is reachable at $200 of purchases and Platinum at $650, so the first step up comes quickly for someone buying skincare or fragrance online.

The program is online-only. Lancôme sells widely through counters and other retailers, and none of that earns points here, which makes the program a reason to buy direct.

What members should know going in:

  • Three tiers or four. The page shows three, and the terms and FAQ name a fourth with different thresholds.
  • Point values aren't public. You can't judge what 10 points per $1 returns until you open the catalog in your account.
  • Reward items still pay shipping, even at tiers that otherwise ship free.

Is My Lancôme Rewards worth joining?

If you buy Lancôme at lancome-usa.com, yes. It's free, 100 bonus points arrive at sign-up, and Rose Gold already includes early access, the catalog and a birthday offer. It matters less if you buy Lancôme at a counter or from another retailer, because those purchases earn nothing. Check the catalog before you plan around a particular reward, since point prices only show once you're signed in.

What Shopify brands can learn from My Lancôme Rewards

My Lancôme Rewards is a retail brand's program built around its own online store, and some of its mechanics transfer well to Shopify brands:

  1. Make the first step up cheap. At 10 points per $1, Gold is about $200 of spend, so members see a level above them early. In Mage, VIP tiers can be set on amount spent, points earned or number of orders, and Mage's guidance is three or four tiers.
  2. Use shipping as a tier perk. A free-shipping threshold that falls at each tier is easy to explain. Mage supports automatic upgraded shipping at checkout, with maximum fee and region limits.
  3. Add a birthday bonus that grows by tier. A common gift plus extra points for higher tiers is simple to run. Mage supports a Birthday Bonus and tier-scaled birthday rewards.
  4. Run bonus point days. Time-limited extra earning gives members a reason to come back on a particular day. Mage Bonus Points Campaigns cover multiplier events such as 2x points for a weekend.
  5. Keep every number consistent. Thresholds that differ between the page, the FAQ and the terms confuse members. The Mage loyalty page has a VIP Tier Benefits section that uses dynamic placeholders for each tier's thresholds and perks, with a progress bar toward the next tier.
  6. Decide what happens to purchases elsewhere. Lancôme keeps points online-only. If you sell through stockists or pop-ups and want those customers inside the program, a receipt upload brings them in, and Mage offers AI receipt scanning on higher plans.

If you're building a Shopify VIP tiers program like this, Mage covers the structure above: tiers on spend, points or orders, calendar-year, rolling or lifetime progress, tier retention, upgraded shipping, tier-scaled birthday rewards and bonus points campaigns.
