Moon Juice Rewards is the points program of the wellness brand Moon Juice, open to shoppers on its US store, moonjuice.com. Members earn 1 point for every $1 spent, plus 50 points for creating an account, 250 for a birthday and 50 for following each of its Instagram and TikTok accounts. Every 125 points are worth $5, and the rewards run from $5 off at 125 points to $30 off at 750 points, each described as a discount on a new subscription's first payment. Points can also be redeemed at checkout at 25 points per $1, and new members start in the Standard tier.

How to join Moon Juice Rewards
You join by creating an account on moonjuice.com: the Sign Up button on the Rewards page starts it, and existing members sign in from the same place. Creating the account earns 50 points straight away. A member's Rewards screen shows the points balance, any pending points, a link to points activity and a status that starts at Standard. The Rewards page publishes no other levels.
Membership also comes with early access to launches such as SuperCell.
How you earn points
| Action | Points | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Make a purchase | 1 per $1 | The same for every member |
| Create an account | 50 | Once, on joining |
| Birthday Bonus | 250 | The largest single bonus |
| Follow on Instagram | 50 | |
| Follow on TikTok | 50 |
The account bonus and the two social follows add up to 150 points, more than the 125 needed for the first reward, so a new member can build a first reward without spending anything (our arithmetic). The reward itself applies to a new subscription's first payment, covered below. The birthday bonus is twice the 125 points the first reward costs.
Moon Juice doesn't publish how long purchase points take to post, or whether tax and shipping count toward the dollar amount that earns points.
What Moon Juice points are worth
Moon Juice states the exchange rate: every 125 points are $5. A point is worth $0.04, so earning 1 point per $1 returns 4% of what a member spends (our arithmetic).
| Reward | Points | Spend that earns the points |
|---|---|---|
| $5 off | 125 | $125 |
| $10 off | 250 | $250 |
| $15 off | 375 | $375 |
| $20 off | 500 | $500 |
| $25 off | 625 | $625 |
| $30 off | 750 | $750 |
The bonuses are worth more than they look: 50 points for creating an account is $2, each social follow is $2, and the birthday bonus is $10 (our arithmetic). All four together come to $16, the same as the points on $400 of purchases.
How to redeem points
Points are redeemed at checkout for dollars off at 25 points per $1. The account also lists six fixed steps from 125 points ($5) to 750 points ($30), and each step is a discount on a new subscription's first payment, so the fixed rewards are aimed at members starting a subscription.
A member's account shows how close the next reward is, for example 50 of 125 points towards the $5 reward. In a member's account the Rewards section also shows the checkout rate, 25 points per $1, which is the same $0.04 a point as the fixed rewards. Moon Juice's shipping page adds that promo codes don't apply to already discounted items or subscription orders, and that only one discount code can be used per order.
Moon Juice also pays a discount for sharing an experience, outside the points balance. After a purchase an email asks for a review: 10% off a future purchase for a review, or 15% off if the review includes a photo or video.
The fine print
- Expiry. Moon Juice doesn't publish an expiry rule for points.
- Earning. Purchases earn 1 point per $1, and Moon Juice doesn't publish a different rate for subscription orders.
- Terms. Moon Juice's Terms & Conditions, last updated April 26, 2026, cover auto-renewing subscriptions and don't contain rewards-specific rules.
- Online program. Moon Juice has shops in Los Angeles. The Rewards page doesn't say whether purchases there earn or redeem points, so this guide covers the online program.
- Levels and referrals. New members start in the Standard tier, no other tier is published, and the Rewards page lists no points for referring friends.
What stands out about Moon Juice Rewards
A ladder that points toward subscribing. Alongside the flat checkout rate, Moon Juice lists six fixed rewards, every one of them a discount on a new subscription's first payment, which makes the program a way to turn a one-time buyer into a subscriber. For a brand whose products are bought on repeat, the first subscription payment is the moment that decides whether a customer comes back every month.
A 4% return at a flat rate. 1 point per $1 and 125 points for $5 is a rate a shopper can work out in a sentence. The checkout rate is the same 25 points per $1, so a member never needs to do arithmetic to see what a balance is worth.
Actions that pay as much as spending. The 50 point actions are worth $2 each and the birthday bonus $10. The social follows build the brand's audience, and the birthday bonus gives a reason to return once a year.
Reviews sit outside the points system. The 10% and 15% review discounts are separate from points, which keeps a member's balance simple and gives photo and video content its own reward.
What members should know going in:
- The six fixed rewards are for a new subscription's first payment. A member who only buys one-time orders redeems at the checkout rate of 25 points per $1.
- Moon Juice doesn't publish an expiry rule for points.
- Moon Juice doesn't publish member numbers or what share of orders come from members.
Is Moon Juice Rewards worth joining?
It costs nothing, and the account bonus alone is worth $2, so anyone who shops at moonjuice.com should sign up. A shopper who buys once or twice a year gets the welcome and birthday points. A regular one-time buyer earns 4% back and redeems at 25 points per $1. A subscriber, or someone about to start one, gets the most from the program: the ladder is built for that first payment, and a $30 reward takes 750 points, or $750 of spending.
What Shopify brands can learn from Moon Juice Rewards
The program is simple, and several of its choices carry over to a Shopify brand that sells products people use every day:
- Choose an exchange rate shoppers can do in their head. "125 points = $5" and "1 point per $1" are easy to explain. Mage supports fixed-amount rewards and flexible rewards, where customers slide points against a value range.
- Pay for the actions you want. An account, a birthday and a social follow each have a points value. Mage's event-based rules include signup and birthday bonuses, and social rules for follows and shares.
- Point rewards at the behaviour you want most. Moon Juice aims its ladder at the first subscription payment. Mage has subscription milestones, which award a one-time bonus when a renewal count is reached, using a supported subscription app.
- Reward reviews, and reward more for photos and video. Mage can award points for a review, with more for one with a photo or video attached.
- Decide expiry on purpose and say so. In Mage, points expiry is off by default, and it can run a set number of days after points are earned or reset on each purchase.
If you're building a points loyalty program on Shopify, Mage covers the structure above: points and rewards, signup, birthday and social earning rules, review points, subscription milestones and configurable expiry.
