Naturium's Consistency Club is the free points program of the skincare brand Naturium. Members earn 1 point for every $1 spent on naturium.com, turn 20 points into $1 of store credit (5% back, our arithmetic) or spend points on travel size products in a Rewards Shop, and move through three tiers, Skintrigued, Skintellectual and Skinfluencer, at $300 and $500 of spending a year. The tiers add access perks such as flash sales and PR boxes, not a higher earn rate. Points expire after 12 months without activity.

Last checked on 28 October 2026 against Naturium's Consistency Club page, which includes the program FAQ, and the Consistency Club Loyalty Program Terms and Conditions (effective 2 October 2024), and e.l.f. Beauty's 8-K filing of the acquisition (4 October 2023), for the US storefront in US dollars.

This guide is written by Graeme, co-founder of Mage, a loyalty and customer accounts platform for Shopify.

How to join Consistency Club

You join by creating an account at naturium.com. Registering for an account enrolls you in the club, and there is no separate program sign-up. You enter a first name, last name, email address, a password of at least 5 characters and your birthday month and day (the year is optional). You are not required to join Naturium's email or SMS lists, though joining them can bring extra perks and surprises.

Membership is open to people aged 16 and over who live in the US or in any country Naturium ships to. It is for personal use, so businesses and resellers can't join, and each person can hold one account, tied to one email address. Naturium's terms also say that employees of e.l.f. Cosmetics and its affiliates can join but may be excluded from certain benefits. Naturium LLC, which sponsors the program, is a subsidiary of e.l.f. Cosmetics, which completed its acquisition of Naturium on 4 October 2023 and runs its own e.l.f. Beauty Squad program.

Everyone starts in the Skintrigued tier. Purchases made before joining don't earn points, and to earn on a purchase you must be signed in when you buy.

Double points2xOn select purchases, as announced

Beyond the table, members get quiz and game points through the Rewards Hub, a free mini surprise after buying an "essential" four times and a free full-size surprise after eight purchases. Naturium doesn't say which products count as essentials. An empty bottle challenge asks members to post an Instagram story of an empty bottle and tag @naturium, with points as the reward, and Naturium doesn't publish how many.

Taxes, shipping, gift card purchases, employee discounts, commercial accounts and donations don't earn. Buying products with a gift card does earn. Points are revoked automatically if an order is cancelled or returned, or marked as fraud. Naturium's terms add a cap: a member can't earn more than 750 points a calendar year through purchases on the website or app. At 1 point per $1 that cap is reached at $750 of spending (our arithmetic), so spending beyond it earns no further purchase points.

If points are missing, the terms ask members to email info@naturium.com within 30 days of the purchase or activity.

We've Added a Few More Reasons to Stay Consistent: early access to new launches, quiz and game reward points, milestone gifts and surprises, members-only flash sale, points on all retail receipts and 1 point per $1 spent, then 200 points for buying an essential twice, a free mini-size for four times and a surprise full-size for eight times

What Naturium points are worth

Naturium publishes its exchange rate as a list on the tier chart: 20 points are $1, 100 points are $5, 200 points are $10, 300 points are $15 and 400 points are $20. A point is worth $0.05, so the base earn of 1 point per $1 returns 5% as store credit (our arithmetic), and the return is the same at all three tiers.

Store creditPointsSpending needed to earn the points
$5100$100
$10200$200
$15300$300
$20400$400

The $20 step is the highest Naturium lists, and it doesn't say whether larger redemptions exist.

The Rewards Shop is where points go further. Three items are on the page, each labelled a Consistency Club Exclusive:

RewardPointsStore credit for the same pointsRetail price on 28 October 2026Retail value per point (our arithmetic)
Mini Niacinamide Cleansing Gelée 3%20$1Not sold: priced at $0 and can't be added to a cartn/a
Vitamin C Complex Serum, Travel Size40$2$12$0.30
The Glow Getter Multi-Oil Body Butter, Travel Size60$3$7$0.12

The travel serum costs 40 points, which a member earns by spending $40, so $12 of product is 30% of that spend, against 5% as store credit. The body butter works out to about 12% of its $60 of spending, and the mini cleanser is reward-only. For a member who wants these products, the Rewards Shop is a better use of points than store credit, and the 10 sign-up points alone are worth $0.50 as credit.

How to redeem points

Points are redeemed on naturium.com, in the rewards section of the account panel. There is no minimum order value, and Naturium updates the available rewards constantly, so the list changes. A reward that is a physical product needs a valid shipping address on the account.

Rewards are final: they can't be returned or refunded and hold no cash value, and they expire 12 months from the member's last activity. The terms say a reward can't be combined with any other coupon or promotion.

Tiers are measured over a calendar year. Tier status is valid for a year after the last order. A member who doesn't meet the threshold falls back to the tier that matches the year's points. The terms say Naturium can change the tiers and their benefits at any time and offer them on a limited basis.

Because the earn rate and the store credit rate are the same for everyone, the tiers are about access. Flash sales start at $300 a year, and PR launch boxes, which are surprises and exclusive access to the latest products, start at $500.

The fine print

  • Expiry. The terms say all points expire after 12 months of no activity, on a rolling basis that resets with each activity. Activity is logging in to the account, a qualifying purchase, earning points or redeeming a reward, so a login keeps points alive.
  • Inactive accounts can be closed. Naturium may deactivate an account after five years without activity, with 30 days' notice where the law requires it.
  • Annual cap. The terms cap points from purchases at 750 a calendar year.
  • No back points. Purchases before joining don't earn.
  • Points have no cash value. Points can't be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash, and points from multiple accounts can't be combined. Points can't be combined with other promotions or awards.
  • Changes. Naturium may change rewards, the points a reward needs, how points are earned and how tiers are reached, and it can end the program with 30 days' notice.
  • Accounts. Duplicate accounts may be terminated. Cancelling is done by emailing info@naturium.com, and reactivation is at Naturium's discretion.

What stands out about Consistency Club

The program is named after the behaviour it wants. Consistency Club is built around a routine, not a spend level: the page tells members that "your best skin starts with a consistent routine". The purchase milestones follow that idea. Buying an essential twice earns 200 points ($10), four times a free mini and eight times a free full size, so the reward arrives when a product has been bought repeatedly. The 200 points on the second purchase are worth more than the 1 point per $1 that purchase earns itself on any product priced under $200 (our arithmetic), and Naturium doesn't say which products qualify.

Points go furthest on samples. At $0.05 a point the store credit is a plain 5%, but the Rewards Shop prices a $12 travel serum at 40 points. That steers points toward trying products and puts a new product in a member's hands without a discount code.

The tiers don't change the earn rate. Skinfluencer earns the same 1 point per $1 as Skintrigued. What rises with the tiers is access and surprises, flash sale access and then launch boxes, not a richer earn rate.

What members should know going in:

  • Expiry is shorter than a year of silence. A member who doesn't log in or buy for 12 months loses all points under the terms.
  • Naturium doesn't publish how many members the club has, the size of the birthday points boost or what the Rewards Hub games pay.

Is Consistency Club worth joining?

If you buy Naturium at all, yes. It's free, joining takes a few seconds and the sign-up gives you 10 points. An occasional buyer gets 5% back as store credit, the milestone bonus and the chance to buy early on new launches, and should log in at least once a year to keep points alive. A regular buyer who spends $300 a year reaches Skintellectual and its flash sales, and should aim the points at Rewards Shop travel sizes rather than store credit. A subscriber earns 10 points on every recurring order and a 50 point boost on the fourth.

What Shopify brands can learn from Naturium's Consistency Club

Consistency Club suits a brand whose products are used up and bought again. Several of its mechanics carry over.

  1. Reward the second, fourth and eighth purchase. Naturium pays 200 points ($10) on the second purchase of an essential, a free mini on the fourth and a free full size on the eighth. In Mage, punch cards on higher plans pay a bonus in points or store credit after a set number of orders, for example "2 orders in 30 days" or "3 orders over $100".
  2. Price samples in points. A points shop of travel sizes lets a member try a product for a small balance. In Mage, a free product reward issues a unique code that makes one unit free, and the optional seamless discount adds the product to the cart and applies the code in one click.
  3. Keep the earn rate flat and make tiers about access. Early launches, flash sales and launch boxes give members a reason to climb without a richer earn rate. Mage VIP tiers can carry early access to launches and sales and custom perks, and tier progress can run on a calendar year, a rolling year or lifetime.
  4. State the exchange rate once. Naturium lists 20 points for $1, 100 for $5 and 200 for $10 on its tier chart. Choose a rate a shopper can work out, such as 20 points for $1, and publish it in one place. Mage lets you set earning rates and fixed-amount rewards, and flexible rewards let customers slide points against a value range.
  5. Write the expiry rule once. Points expiry in Mage is off by default and can run a set number of days after points are earned or reset on each purchase, with reminder emails before points drop off, so the rule on the program page and the rule in the system can be the same.
  6. Count retail purchases on purpose. If your products sell through stockists, Mage's receipt scanning on the Growth plan and above lets customers submit a receipt from a stockist, pop-up or wholesale purchase and earn points, with built-in fraud detection.

If you're building a points and tiers loyalty program on Shopify, Mage covers the structure above: points with fixed-amount rewards and free product rewards, VIP tiers on amount spent, tier perks, punch cards, subscription milestones, receipt scanning, store credit mode and configurable points expiry.

Frequently asked questions

Do Naturium Consistency Club points expire? Yes. Under the program terms, all points expire after 12 months without activity, and logging in, buying, earning points or redeeming a reward each resets the clock.

How many points do I need for $10 off Naturium? 200 points, which a member earns by spending $200 on naturium.com. The tier chart lists 200 points as $10, the same as the milestone card.

How do I reach Skinfluencer? Spend $500 or more in a calendar year. Skintellectual needs $300 or more. Both tiers earn the same 1 point per $1 as Skintrigued.

Is there a Naturium birthday reward? Yes. The program lists a points boost as a birthday gift, and members enter their birthday month and day when they sign up. Naturium doesn't publish how many points the boost is.

Can I use Naturium points with a promo code? No. The program terms say a reward can't be combined with any other coupon or promotion.
