Princess Polly Rewards is the fashion retailer's free tiered program on its US site. Members earn 1 point for every $1 spent, plus a 50 point bonus on every third shop, and move through four tiers, General Admission, Front Row, VIP and Backstage Pass, at 300, 700 and 2,500 points. Points are not spent on anything: they set the tier, and the tier sets the entry discount, the birthday and anniversary rewards and access to sales, draws and events.

How to join Princess Polly Rewards
Membership comes with a Princess Polly account: a member logs in and opens the Rewards dashboard, and an account can be created for free. The sign-up page includes a subscribe option for Princess Polly's emails. A new member starts in General Admission with 15% off a first order. Points start accruing from the day you join and can't be applied to earlier purchases.
Members have to be logged in to earn points. The email address on a Rewards account can't be changed, though Princess Polly's support team can make a one-off transfer of points between two email accounts. The US and Australian stores run independently, so points can't be transferred between them.
How you earn points
| Action | Points | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Spend | 1 per $1 | Debit or credit card only; the part of an order paid with a gift card earns nothing |
| Every third shop | 50 | Princess Polly doesn't say whether order size matters |
| Photo review | 10 | Photo or video attached, once every 10 days, and only through the automatic review request email |
| Follow on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat or TikTok | 5 each | Listed per network |
| Sign up for texts | 10 | Listed once |
| Refer a friend | 20 | Princess Polly doesn't publish referral conditions |
| Birthday | A gift | Birthday must be added to the account |
Points from a purchase usually show in the account within minutes of the order. Points from photo reviews can take up to two weeks. Returning an item for a refund deducts the points it earned, while returning for a gift card or an exchange keeps them, and no new points are issued when that gift card or exchange is spent.
The social and text actions are small next to the tier thresholds: following all four networks and signing up for texts adds 30 points, a tenth of the way to Front Row. The 50 point bonus is the biggest single action: on three $60 orders a member earns 180 points from spending and 50 from the bonus, 28% more than spending alone (our arithmetic).
What Princess Polly points are worth
Princess Polly Rewards has no redemption step. Princess Polly doesn't publish any way to exchange points for money off, and the rewards it describes arrive as a tier entry discount, birthday and anniversary rewards, and access. A point is a unit of progress, so the useful question is what a tier is worth against the points it takes to hold. The table treats each point as $1 of spending and adds up the two dollar rewards a member gets each year (our arithmetic, assuming both are used):
| Tier | Points to hold it | Birthday reward | Anniversary reward | Yearly total | Total as a share of the points |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| General Admission | 1 to 299 | $10 | $5 | $15 | not applicable |
| Front Row | 300 | $15 | $10 | $25 | 8.3% |
| VIP | 700 | $20 | $15 | $35 | 5.0% |
| Backstage Pass | 2,500 | $25 | $20 | $45 | 1.8% |
Dollar rewards matter least at the top: Backstage Pass members get $45 a year against at least 2,500 points, and the gains at that level are the 30% entry discount, events, merch and the annual major giveaway. The entry discount arrives on reaching a tier and, going by the FAQ's 30 day expiry for tier earned rewards, has to be used within 30 days (our reading, because the entry discount is the only tier earned reward the Rewards page lists). Princess Polly doesn't say whether it is issued again if a member drops a tier and returns. It doesn't publish a minimum spend on the birthday and anniversary rewards, and all discount rewards exclude sale items and gift card purchases.
Status tiers and perks
| Perk | General Admission | Front Row | VIP | Backstage Pass |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Points | 1 to 299 | 300 to 699 | 700 to 2,499 | 2,500 or more |
| Tier entry discount | 15% | 20% | 25% | 30% |
| Birthday reward | $10 | $15 | $20 | $25 |
| Anniversary reward | $5 | $10 | $15 | $20 |
| Early access to sales, access to 30% off top sellers, access to an extra 10% off sale | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Eligible for the monthly $100 gift card draw | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Early access to new launches, insider Facebook group, priority customer service, exclusive merch | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Invitations to Princess Polly events, entry to the annual major giveaway | No | No | No | Yes |
Every tier has a chance to be featured on Princess Polly's channels. Members can enter the gift card draw once a month, and the winner is drawn at random at the start of each month. Princess Polly's general sweepstakes rules, in its promotional terms, are open to legal residents of the US (excluding Puerto Rico), the UK, Australia and Canada (excluding Quebec) aged 16 or over.
How tiers are held and lost. Members keep their tier for 12 months from reaching it. The FAQ gives a Front Row example: a member with 300 points stays in Front Row for 12 months, keeps it by earning at least 300 more in that time, and moves up to VIP, with the 12 months restarting, after earning 400 more (300 plus 400 reaches 700). If the member earns nothing new, a new tier status applies when the 12 months end. The FAQ gives no separate rules for the other tiers. The FAQ sums it up: points can expire after 12 months, but a member who reaches a new tier is guaranteed it for a year.
How long rewards last
| Reward | Expires after |
|---|---|
| Tier earned rewards | 30 days |
| Birthday reward | 3 months |
| Anniversary reward | 14 days |
A birthday reward needs the date of birth added to the account. The gift is emailed two weeks before the birthday, so a birthday added inside that window needs a request to Princess Polly's customer experience team to generate the code. Princess Polly doesn't say what the anniversary reward is counted from.
The fine print
- Discount rewards have exclusions. They exclude sale items and gift card purchases, and Princess Polly doesn't publish a minimum spend.
- Returns reduce points. A refund deducts what the item earned, while returns for an exchange or gift card keep them.
- Not retroactive. Earlier purchases and orders placed while logged out don't count.
- Program terms are not linked. The Rewards page links no separate terms document and the site's Terms of Use and Terms of Sale don't mention the program. The Rewards page and FAQ articles carry the published rules.
- Regions are separate. The US and Australian stores don't share points, and the UK page omits the two sale-access rows (30% off top sellers and an extra 10% off sale) that the US page lists.
What stands out about Princess Polly Rewards
Points track progress, not payment. Most points programs ask members to cash points in, which leaves a balance the brand has to honour. Because Princess Polly's points can't be cashed in, the cost sits in the tier rewards, and those expire within 14 days to 3 months. The program is easy to explain (reach 300 and Front Row opens) and there is no balance for a member to hoard.
The bonus rewards order count over order value. The 50 points on every third shop is worth more than a $40 order earns in points: three $40 orders earn 120 points from spending and 50 from the bonus, 42% more (our arithmetic). That favours people who return often.
It pays for content, not only orders. Photo reviews, social follows, referrals and text sign-ups are all in the points currency, and the tiers include a chance to be featured on Princess Polly's channels, so members are rewarded for work that markets the brand.
Status is festival-themed access. The tiers are named like ticket levels, and the higher perks are access (early launches, events, a major giveaway, merch) rather than larger dollar amounts. Access perks reach only the top tiers, so the dollar cost stays small while the top tier still feels exclusive.
What members should know going in:
- A point can't be spent. The only dollar rewards are birthday and anniversary, worth $15 to $45 a year.
- Tiers need maintaining. Going by the FAQ's Front Row example, holding a tier means earning its minimum again within the 12 months (300 points for Front Row).
- Rewards expire quickly. An anniversary reward lasts 14 days.
Is Princess Polly Rewards worth joining?
For anyone who shops at Princess Polly even once, yes: it is free, and a new account starts with 15% off a first order. An occasional buyer gets that discount and a $10 birthday reward, and should use the anniversary reward within its 14 days. A regular buyer who earns around 300 points a year (roughly $300, a little less with the third shop bonus) reaches Front Row, which adds the monthly gift card draw and larger birthday and anniversary rewards. A heavy buyer around 700 points gets early launch access, priority service and merch at VIP, and anyone near 2,500 points a year gets events and the annual giveaway at Backstage Pass. Shoppers who want cashback or points to spend later won't find it here.
What Shopify brands can learn from Princess Polly's program
Princess Polly Rewards is built around tiers and content, and four of its mechanics carry over to a Shopify store:
- Let points decide the tier. Princess Polly puts its rewards in the tier rather than in a redeemable balance. In Mage, VIP tiers can be entered by points earned, amount spent or number of orders, and each tier can carry its own rewards and a tier entry reward.
- Reward the third order. A bonus on every third purchase pays for frequency. Mage's punch cards on higher plans pay a bonus after, for example, 2 orders in 30 days or 3 orders over $100.
- Pay for content and permission. Photo reviews, follows and text sign-ups each get a small, visible number of points. Mage supports points for reviews (more for photo or video), for following or sharing on social networks, and for SMS opt-in.
- Scale the birthday and keep it simple. A birthday reward that grows with the tier gives every level something to look forward to. Mage has a Birthday Bonus (the customer saves a birthday) and an Anniversary Bonus, and tier-scaled birthday rewards, and VIP tier retention can protect a status for twelve months after it is earned.
If you're building a points and tiers loyalty program on Shopify, Mage covers the structure above: VIP tiers with progress on a calendar year, rolling year or lifetime basis, tier-specific rewards, review, social and SMS earning rules, birthday and anniversary bonuses, punch cards, configurable points expiry and referral rewards.

Frequently asked questions
Do Princess Polly Rewards points expire? They can. The FAQ says points can expire after 12 months, and that members keep a tier for 12 months from reaching it. Rewards expire sooner: tier earned rewards after 30 days, birthday rewards after 3 months and anniversary rewards after 14 days.
How many points do I need for each Princess Polly tier? Front Row starts at 300 points, VIP at 700 and Backstage Pass at 2,500. General Admission covers 1 to 299 points, and every new member starts there.
Can I spend my Princess Polly points? Princess Polly doesn't publish a way to. Points set your tier, and the tier gives the entry discount, birthday and anniversary rewards, and access perks.
When do I get my Princess Polly birthday reward? A gift is emailed two weeks before your birthday, if you have added your date of birth to your account. It is worth $10 at General Admission up to $25 at Backstage Pass and expires after 3 months. If you add your birthday inside the two weeks, Princess Polly's customer experience team can generate the code.
Can I move my points between the US and Australian sites? No. The two stores operate independently, so Rewards members can't transfer points between them.
